The Church of the Holy Family and St. Columba Catholic Church, being a community of worshipers and Disciples of Christ, live the Gospel through prayer and service, bearing witness to God's love, compassion, and mercy.

This year our parishes will focus on following the examples of Pope Francis by deepening our relationship with Jesus and with each other – Walking Christ’s Path Together.   The theme will be emphasized with pictures of paths that represent the variety of challenges we are called upon to face during our lives.  The theme will also be reinforced with music – the song Thrive with lyrics including:  “…to know our Father’s heart. into the world, we’re reaching out to show them who You are…

The purpose of the theme is not to help with the church environment but to enliven the spirit within us.  We already accomplish a lot with our activities and we hope to build on that.  To connect with each other and celebrate the joy of being community.  To invite others to share in the spirit and life of our parishes.  To be family to one another and support each other in times of celebration and in times of despair.  To truly touch each other with generosity of heart and spirit.  We can only imagine how wonderful it can be if we truly join together in fellowship and service.

A bit about our parish communities...

In December 2011, Bishop Michael R. Cote of the Norwich Diocese announced that the Church of the Holy Family and the Catholic Community of Saint Columba Church would be yoked.

Each Parish remains separate and distinct, but at the same time they share resources to better meet the needs of the people of God.  Regardless of your past faith tradition, we welcome you to come as you are and to give church and God another try.  We hope you will find one of our parishes will feel like home.
