Welcome to the Church of the Holy Family Music Ministry!
My name is Nicole Bernier and I’m the Music Ministry Director here at the Church of the Holy Family. Our Music Ministry program is just that…
A Ministry… one more way to reach people, climb right into their hearts, express the general theme for the Mass or Service. We have just released the CD – ENTER the SONG! It was truly a labor of love for God and for each other as a Holy Family of God. This is the culmination of 6 months work and countless hours given by nearly 100 people, all in hopes of bringing the spirit of Christ into your lives. They are available for $15 after Mass, at our parish office, or by contacting Nicole at 860-228-8367. We are REALLY excited about this!
 When we attend Mass, there are only two things that change; The homily and music. Much time and effort is put into blending these together to enhance the total experience. Music is just one more way to pray, to come together and share our love for each other and our God.
Our program offesr something different at all times. Most Masses at our church are ‘Standing-Room-Only’. With so many people, we simply cannot please everyone all the time, but by having lots of variety, we strive to offer something for everyone!
There are many different ways in which YOU can join our team; Cantor, Adult Choir, Praise Band, Teen Choir, Youth Choir, Instrumentalist.
Cantors – We currently have 15 on our roster, all different styles. Sometimes they sing a couple times a month, sometimes not at all. It depends on your schedule.
Adult Choir – Our Choir sings traditional choral music and is under the direction of Anthony Pandolfe. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 and sing at alternating Masses, every other weekend.
Praise Band – Our Praise Band is a contemporary Christian Rock Band and is very popular among parishioners! We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 and also sing at alternating Masses, every other weekend.
Teen Choir – This group is new to our ministry and really good! All teens grade 7 and up are welcome to join. We rehearse 1 or 2 times and then sing a scheduled Mass, usually once a month. We believe this group is going to ‘go places!’
Youth Choir – Our Youth Choir style is ‘Sister-Act’ with lots of energy and fun! We sing approximately once a month with 2 rehearsals prior on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00. Members simply need to be able to read and sit quietly during Mass.
Instrumentalists – Whatever instrument you play, we’d love to have you! We currently have people who play the flute, violin, bongos, clarinet, trumpet, French horn and guitar. Stop by, say hello! We will schedule you when YOU want to play!
If you are not able to join one of our groups, we encourage you to sing loud from your seat!
