On behalf of the Social Outreach Grant Committee, Parish Council, and the Finance Committee, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generosity of the parish, to continue to make our Grant Program an amazing success. As you know Church of the Holy Family sets aside 10% of the yearly offering from our parishioners to grant to nonprofit organizations both in our local community and our sister parish in Haiti.

Each week as you prayerfully consider your tithing “Generous giving that is an acknowledgment everything we have is a gift from God, and is to be used in His service” be assured your offerings are carefully distributed to help those less fortunate in our community.

Your support of these organizations is essential for helping with funding for clients’ critical unmet needs and provides life changing results.  While Government sees social services help as benefits in “one-size fits all” and turn people away when their circumstances don’t fit into their predetermined criteria, Faith Based Nonprofits see people as God sees them - people needing individual care, guidance, and support - no matter what the reason or situations that brought them to their needs.

This past Saturday the Grant Committee gathered with this year’s recipients at our church for a luncheon to distribute the checks. The yearly gathering allows us a further opportunity to understand the diverse needs and accomplishments of the charities our church supports.  We are humbled and always leave with a deep gratitude for the amazing dedication each recipient has for the clients they serve and lift up.

Throughout the year we have and will continue to highlight more about each of the Grant recipients in the bulletin, under Testaments of our Tithing, informing our parish as to how the funds are used, and ways they could volunteer or become more involved in helping on an individual level.  If you have any questions or would like more information please speak to any member of our social outreach committee or join us at any of the 4th Thursday evening meetings.
